Let us come together to generate new ideas

A story is told of how one lazy pauper in the village would beg and cry out to anyone passing by for food and sustenance till one day a travelling businessman stopped and tired of forking out alms to the pauper offered to purchase his entire piece of land. Seeing that the land was very rocky, the pauper sold it off quickly and ran to the big city to enjoy his new found wealth. Sadly this wealth did not last long.

Meanwhile back at the farm, the businessman ordered the entire piece of land dug up and Voila! Look what he found!!!! A goldmine sinking deep into the earth!! Lesson? We are always sitting on gold but we are not willing or are too lazy to explore. Our gold is in the form of the strong winds of Marsabit, the scorching sun of Ukambani, the huge livestock herds of the Rift valley and the many natural tourist attraction sites dotted around the country. We also have many talents, strengths and values which if nurtured could be the key to a lifelong success.

Grateful for immense potential and talent that lies nested amongst us, acknowledging the vast resources endowed upon us as a country. We have to overhaul our way of looking at everything, from the broken down family relationships to the flailing economy.

We cannot continue doing things the same way and expect different results. We have the time, space and opportunity to establish a new order. What shall we do with it? How shall history judge us?

United Democratic Forum Party was founded on HOPE. Hope that the dreams of our forefathers shall actualize and bear fruits. The dreams of a united, equal and democratic nation thriving blessed by God free of discrimination and shining above our peers. Like a breath of fresh air, UDFP strode in stoically to challenge the old thinking that has dragged our dear country to the dogs.

We set out to be the pioneers of change. We come with open arms and minds ready to reclaim the country fired up by our youth, intelligence and patriotism. Do not be afraid to think outside the proverbial box. Think like there is no box at all! Pamoja tutapaa!
